Valentines Week, Day 3! Heart Garland w/ Stampin Up Supplies!

Hello everyone! Welcome to day 3 of my Valentines week!!

Today I have a simple little garland for you, that can be recreated for any holiday or party!

IMG_5816

So for this I picked out some beautiful new love themed paper and punched out some sweet little hearts, even numbers! I’ve run adhesive on to one of the hearts and laid the ribbon/twine over the top, followed by the hearts partner. Do this along the length you want and then you have a beautiful little Valentines decoration!

Now pictured above is one I made with twine, this is one that I made with ribbon..

At the end of the post I will attach some pictures of them hanging 🙂

Valentines Week, Day 2, Love Heart Classmate Gifts w/SU Products!

Hello and welcome back to day 2 of my Valentines week!

Today I have a cute little love heart gift for you to give to the children in your life, or for them to take into school for all of their friends!

IMG_5798

How cute?!

I have stamped my image using a light colour ink, and stamped off to make it even lighter. I’ve coloured in a water-colour style by scribbling my markers on an acrylic block and picking them up with an aqua painter. I love the subtle to sweet effect that this gives the tag. I’ve attached my tag onto my treat holder just with a stapler. Obviously this would look adorable with a little bow, but honestly as my daughter is giving these to her school mates, I’m not going to bother!

Valentines Week, Day 1, Paper Heart Wreath! SU Supplies

Hello Everyone!

And welcome to the first project in my Valentines week! Now pretty much everything you see here this week is going to be very easily done with your children. I have 3 kids so around any holidays I like to try my hardest to get them involved and keep them busy! And with half term coming up a week of projects to do with them is only going to be a good thing!

So as it says up there, this first project is a paper heart wreath. Crazy easy and quick. Totally customisable. Child friendly AND budget friendly! What more could you want?!

wreath3

All you need for this project is some 12 x 12 paper, a stapler, some ribbon and a way to cut your paper!

Cut your paper into 2″ thick strips and fold them in half. Take the 2 ends that are now next to each other and fold them down together, as pictured. Staple the ends together and repeat so you have 8 hearts in total. I’ve secured to ribbon before I joined all my hearts together as that was easier for me, but you want it to span 3 hearts. Less than that, your hearts don’t form a circle when its hung and more and it all tries to fold over itself!

I found the easiest way to connect them all together was to lay them on a flat surface how I wanted them to go, and go in with the stapler that way. Obviously if you have a way that is easier for you then do your way 🙂

I hope you like this very simple project, any feedback is always appreciated. Also please subscribe to my blog so you’ll be notified of when I update a project.

Check out the, very short, stocklist below!

White Happy Big Day Card

Hello everyone! Welcome back, and thank you for coming back!

Today I have a very easy and simple card for you but as it is, mostly, all white I think its pretty elegant..

IMG_5746

So this card is embarrassingly easy and uses hardly any products so wont deplete your stash!

I’ve starting off by making a tag and stamping my image on using a soft grey ink. Which to make even softer I stamped off the paper first so what you see here is a second usage of the inked up stamp. I have them run the edges through my VersaMark ink pad and clear heat embossed the edges of the tag. I’ve also done this with my card base, really simple but I think it makes a lovely effect. Beware though, I tried it with white powder first and it just looked awful haha so please make sure your embossing powder is clear! I’ve also used a large dot embossing folder on another piece of white cardstock, but have turned it around before adding to my card so its actually a debossed pattern and have sprayed it with some shimmer. I’ve put all the components together and secured a ribbon bow to the top of the tag and added 3 medium sized gems 🙂

I hope you all like the card, feel fee to let me know what you think in the comments section.

Embossed Vellum Butterfly Card

Happy Monday!!

I know Mondays arent so much fun but having something pretty to look at has got to help. Right? Just me?

So todays card is a beautiful Swallowtail embossed on vellum. I love vellum, it instantly makes a project seem that little more grow up! I don’t see myself as a natural card maker by anyones standards haha but vellum helps me in the times where I’m struggling to bring a card together.

IMG_5749

So first I embossed the Swallowtail in white onto some vellum cardstock. I have then flipped the vellum over and coloured on the backside, so that a subtle hint of colour shows through the front of the image. On the card base I have stamped some beautiful images (although looking back if I was to make this card again I would stamp in a colour I had also used to colour on the vellum with..hindsight is 20/20!) I’ve wrapped the vellum around the card front and adhered it to another piece of coloured cardstock, and then tied a ribbon around with a bow at the front and mounted in onto the base.

I hope you all liked this card, my 8-year-old keeps telling me she’s going to steal this one!

Batman Cards!!

Oh My Gosh!! I can not even explain how excited I was when I made these! Me and my other half put these together for our little boys first birthday and I think they are just so cute and fun!

IMG_5752

These start with the undefined stamp carving kit from Stampin Up, we’ve made batman with ours but whatever superhero your little man loves you can make it work! With a little imagination this kits possibilities are limitless! I’ve carved the stamp that I wanted for this project and then embossed it in silver on a black card base. Using a simple mask I have very lightly sponged ink to use as a light beam, and I’ve used a chalk pen to draw little bats in the sky!

Check out the stock list below!!
